PT KPBN was initially an institution named Kantor Pemasaran Bersama PT Perkebunan I-XXIX or KPB-PTP I-XXIX, which was engaged in the marketing services of commodities produced by state-owned plantation companies.
KPBN is a limited liability company and a subsidiary of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN I-XIV) and PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (PT RNI).
The company introduced an Electronic Tender-based product sales system, allowing customers to view commodities being traded and offered in real-time.
The company rebranded its name to INACOM to make it more dynamic and widely recognized. INACOM is interpreted as Indonesia Commodity, which sells commodities such as CPO, PKO, PKM, Rubber, Sugar, Tea, Coffee, and Molasses.
INACOM's business activities expanded to include services in Plantation Services for Nusantara, commodity trading (CPO, Rice, Sugar), FMCG, Certification, and Logistics.
In support of the PTPN Group's efficiency and transformation program, the company carried out a corporate action in the form of a merger with other companies under the PTPN Group umbrella in Q4 2021. PT KPBN became the "Surviving Company," while PT Sarana Agro Nusantara (PT SAN) and PT ESW Nusantara Tiga (PT ESW) merged into PT KPBN. As per the Ministry of SOE's directive, on December 14, 2021, PT KPBN officially merged with PT Sarana Agro Nusantara (PT SAN) and PT ESW Nusantara Tiga, both subsidiaries of the PTPN Group, with PT KPBN as the surviving company.
