Balance of Trade Deficit With China

JAKARTA: Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Indonesia's trade balance recorded a deficit with China in September showed a decrease compared with the previous month.
Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Rusman Heriawan said Indonesia's trade deficit with China now being housed U.S. $ 228.5 million.

`There is a stronger tendency of our exports while imports increased but the increase is more ramps that reduce our deficit with China in September compared with previous months,` said Rusman told reporters today.

Yet cumulatively in January-September, the trade deficit with China was recorded at U.S. $ 4.9 billion. Rusman explained consistently Indonesia still recorded a trade deficit with some countries for trade from January to September of them to Singapore amounted to US470 million, Thailand U.S. $ 2.58 billion, and Australia amounted to U.S. $ 1.23 billion.

`For Thailand, they are very competitive for horticulture products. Addiction to the country are so high that we still recorded a deficit, `he said. Meanwhile, trade with other countries recorded a surplus of them with Malaysia amounted to U.S. $ 2.09 billion, Korea U.S. $ 2.84 billion, Britain U.S. $ 533 million. `With the other Asean countries such as Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, we also recorded a surplus of U.S. $ 2.7 billion,` said Rusman.
