βIn terms of label recognition versus action, 82 percent of people recognized the Fair trade label, but only 29 percent actively bought Fair trade products,β said Rosemary Ostfeld, as the head researcher.
Furthermore, Ostfeld said, only about five percent recognized the RSPO label. As quoted by ecowatch.com, the low recognition of the RSPO label could have been caused by its rare use by consumer goods companies and retailers in England. (T2)
