Chamber gives solution to palm oil export barriers to Europe

Currently, Indonesian CPO exports to the European Union are said to be only approximately 3.5 million tons out of the total CPO exports reaching 22-23 million tons per year.

"The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) is responsible for erasing the negative stigma of Indonesian CPO. The black campaign that has been going for so long must be broken. Our CPO is environmentally friendly and prioritizes principles of sustainable nature conservation," said Rosan, on Friday (20/11/2015).

Rosan made this statement with regard to his candidacy for chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for the 2015-2020 period, which will take place in Bandung, West Java, from November 22 to 24.

He emphasized that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will be at the forefront in assisting the government in convincing the international community that Indonesian CPO is environmentally friendly and prioritizes principles of sustainable nature conservation (sustainability).

"The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will resolve this issue in a graceful, dignified way, with full friendship for national economic revival. We will provide the solutions," he said.

The Congress, themed "Enhancing National and Regional Economic Competitiveness Through Strong, Innovative, and Sustainable Industrial Development" will be opened by Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
