Directorate General of Taxes Holds FGD with PT KPBN to Improve Understanding of Taxes in the Oil Palm Industry Sector

On the occasion, PT KPBN, represented by Head of Bursar and Business Development Division, Andrial Saputra, provided in-depth insights of business processes, licensing, to price formation in the Indonesian palm oil industry. The event which was attended by approximately 40 participants coming from tax examiners throughout Indonesia was aimed at providing practical insights and understandings that would be beneficial in their tax examination duties in the field.

The palm oil industry is one of the important sectors in Indonesia’s economy, as it is not only a source of export income but also a significant source of employment.  However, the complexity within business processes and price formation often presents challenges for tax collection and examination. Through this FGD, the Directorate General of Taxes hopes to increase the competence of tax examiners in identifying potential tax revenue and overcoming challenges present within the palm oil industry.

This FGD is expected not only to enhance understanding of palm oil industry sector but also assist in developing more relevant and effective training materials and references. This is a positive step in ensuring tax fairness and compliance within this critical economic sector, while simultaneously supporting Indonesia’s sustainable economic growth.
