"Some 994,686 kg were sold at an average price of 99.45 taka per kg, down 0.19 taka from the last sale. The withdrawal percentage was 1.76," said an official of the National Brokers Limited, the country's largest tea broker.
Buyers from Pakistan and Bangladesh participated in the auction that sold different grades between 85 taka to 140 taka per kg.
"Despite a strong demand the average price fell slightly because the bulk of Dust grades declined," an auctioneer said.
The next weekly auction will be held on June 27 with an expected offering of nearly 1.0 million.
Following are the results of the latest auction in Bangladesh taka per kg.
