KPBN carried out a working visit to MDEX Malaysia on 10 February 2023. The visit is one of KPBN's benchmarking processes as a reference for the exchange in Indonesia. KPBN President Director Rahmanto Amin Jatmiko said Indonesia is the world's largest producer of palm oil, however, the current reference price for the world's palm oil industry refers to two main exchanges, MDEX in Malaysia and Rotterdam in the Netherlands. In the next two years, KPBN targets private producers to take a bigger part in the KPBN exchange ecosystem platform.
