Indonesia's CPO Tariff Unchanged at 15% for January 2012 Delivery

JAKARTA: Crude palm oil for January 2012 delivery got imposed with 15% of export tariff, or unchanged from the same tariff for this month's delivery.
General Director of Trade Ministry Deddy Saleh said the tariff was decided based on the reference price of crude palm oil (CPO) at US$1,032 per metric ton.

“The export tariff for [CPO delivery in] Januari 2012 is still the same [with December 2011] as much as 15%,” he said. Deddy is in charge for Export Trade affairs in the ministry.

Meanwhile, the export reference price for oil palm and its derivatives, such as palm fruit and kernel at US$377 per metric ton, palm kernel meal (US$102 per metric ton), and crude palm kernel (CPK) oil (US$1.267 per metric ton).

And then, CPO (US$960 per metric ton), crude palm olein (US$1,044 per metric ton), crude palm stearin (US$933 per metric ton), and CPK olein as well as CPK stearin (US$1,267 per metric ton).

`As for cocoa reference price for January 2012 set at US$2,243.47 per metric ton, hence export tariff for thus commodity is still at 5%,” Deddy said. At the same time, cocoa export reference price is at US$1.962. (ags)
