In his speech, the Head of the SRG and PLK Development and Empowerment Bureau of Bappebti, Heryono Hadi Prasetyo, stated that the purpose of the integration of SRG and PLK socialization was to develop the ecosystem of the commodity industry and improve the welfare of commodity farmers.
As a form of support from the local government, the Head of the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industry (KUKMP) Department of Tasikmalaya Regency, H. Endang Syahrudin, said that collaboration between stakeholders was necessary.
"The Tasikmalaya Regency Government already has a representative Warehouse Receipt System. This must be optimized by farmers in Tasikmalaya and collaborated with clearing companies and commodity auction market organizers," said H. Endang Syahrudin in his speech in front of the participants.
Through the PLK, there are a number of benefits that can be obtained, such as guaranteeing the certainty of prices and commodity products, guaranteeing the certainty of sustainable distribution of goods, and being a stimulus for improving the economic welfare of farmers.
"We established the Commodity Auction Market to create fair and equitable prices for commodity industry players," said Arif Budiman, Director of INACOM, in front of the participants of the Warehouse Receipt System and Commodity Auction Market Technical Guidance (Bimtek) in Tasikmalaya City, Thursday, March 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, through the Warehouse Receipt System, it is hoped that it can provide benefits as an important and effective instrument in the trade financing system. SRG can also facilitate the provision of credit for the business world with inventory or goods stored in warehouses as collateral.
The SRG and PLK socialization activities were held in front of commodity industry players in West Java and were attended by the Head of the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industry (KUKMP) Department of Tasikmalaya Regency, H. Endang Syahrudin, the Head of the SRG and PLK Development and Empowerment Bureau, Heryono Hadi Prasetyo, and the Chairman of the Association of Young Indonesian Entrepreneurs (HIPMI) of Tasikmalaya Regency, Fikri Nursamsi.
Participants in the SRG and PLK technical guidance in Tasikmalaya City were attended by farmers and commodity industry players from Tasikmalaya, Ciamis, Banjar, and several other areas in West Java.
