Jakarta – A lot of complicated regulations in Indonesia made the development of a cheap car to run slowly. Cheap car development in Indonesia is still far less than Thailand.
This was stated by Director General of Industry Leading High Technology-Based Industry Ministry, Budi Darmadi when ditemi in the office of the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Monday (07/25/2011).
“Thailand’s not as tight as it is demanding,” said Budi.
He said some car companies are interested to participate in the program low cost car and green car that will be triggered by the government. However, the company has yet to demonstrate its commitment, just interested.
Budi Darmadi mention some car companies have expressed interest to participate in the development of low cost car and green car.
“Already there are some that interested, interested Daihatsu, Suzuki interested, interested Nissan, Toyota and possibly also interested. Japanese car company has some wondering, but exploring a new level,” he said.
Budi explained, the participation of the automotive companies will bring many benefits to Indonesia, especially in the field of technological independence. Companies that participate in the development of low cost and green car would have to make the engine technology in Indonesia.
“Low cost green car that was associated with self-reliance in technology so that anyone who participated had to create a power train engines in Indonesia, it will make us independent in the field of technology,” he explained.
Budi added that many governments apply the requirements for companies that want to participate to develop low cost and green cars in Indonesia. Therefore, Budi judge will take a long time.
“There’s always the self-reliance in technology as a requirement that the collective wisdom, ready how many years, and then points whatever the level of penetary, the assembling of how, how the machine, and then casting, it is not easy, the government wants to can it, then discuss for 1-2 years , when they can, “he explained.
