IMF: World 30 Million Lost Jobs
Agadir, Morocco (AFP) - The global crisis has taken the lives of 30 million jobs worldwide, the International Monetary Fund Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn said on Monday, when opening a forum on human development in Morocco
Work should be a priority further globalization, Strauss-Kahn added, as quoted by AFP.
`The world has lost 30 million jobs due to global crisis, and predicted for years and years to come is 400 million,` said Strauss-Kahn warned that the International Forum for Human Development, which took place in Agadir in southern Morocco on Monday and Tuesday.
`In the framework of the new globalization, the first priority is jobs, the second priority is jobs and the third priority is the workers,` he stated.
More than 1,500 international experts took part in the forum, including the Islamic Development Bank president, Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Ali.
